Dear potential TASIU Antifraud Supporter:
The Texas Association of Special Investigation Units (TASIU), a local chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units, is proud to announce that we have begun an unprecedented public awareness campaign in conjunction with the Crime Stoppers of Houston Insurance Fraud Initiative that you may have seen in the news, locally or online. Also involved with this initiative are the Houston Police Department and local agents of the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB). We are very excited about this initiative, which to our knowledge is the first of its kind in the nation.
To do our part, the TASIU unfurled a REPORT INSURANCE FRAUD billboard to spread the antifraud message. We plan to keep this message forefront in the public venue for as long as possible. Already, Crime Stoppers of Houston is seeing that these combined efforts are motivating insurance fraud hotline tips.
The TASIU plans to keep the billboard up for as long as possible and expand our antifraud public awareness outreach into other areas, as we are able.
To accomplish this, we need antifraud Supporters to help.
